When prominent socialite Sherri Maldini is brutally murdered, her husband, nightclub singer and
former mob hitman Jimmy Mack, is the prime suspect.
But as Detective Art Webster tries to investigate, his boss pulls him off the case.
Convinced that Jimmy Mack is guilty, Art’s partner, Donnelly, steals the case file, putting both
their careers at risk.
As Art digs deeper he uncovers a mob war bubbling beneath the surface of the city, and believes
that Sherri’s own father, mob boss Maldini, ordered Mack to make the hit to preserve the fragile
peace.
Working against Art is his very nature – he is a serial liar and cheat, his marriage on the
verge of collapse. Jimmy, on the other hand, holds loyalty and honesty as the highest
values. Will Art learn from Jimmy, or will he continue to adopt a win at all costs
mentality?
Convinced that Jimmy is the killer, Art finally confronts Mack as he sings at his nightclub, but
instead of getting the confession he craves, Art is arrested by his boss for harassing Mack.
Thrown off the force, Art has one last chance – confront Maldini and get him to admit to
ordering Mack to make the hit. If Art can last three minutes in the boxing ring with Maldini,
