Don Macnab-Stark is an award-winning screenwriter, script doctor, and novelist based in Crete and England, whose work spans film, television, and graphic fiction. Over the past fifteen years, Don has collaborated with dozens of writers, producers, and directors worldwide, helping to shape stories that combine emotional truth with cinematic power.

He has written or adapted more than ten books for the screen and has had numerous projects produced, sold, or optioned internationally — with credits in the UK, South Africa, Australia, and the USA — and has also written the best-selling graphic novel Treadwater, and three interactive games published by Mixi Inc.

Alongside his creative work, Don is a respected mentor and educator, known for his clear, practical approach to storytelling. He has taught Screenwriting and Creative Writing at college level and is the creator of two upcoming courses — AI for Writers and From Novel to Screenplay — designed to help authors and screenwriters master the craft and business of modern storytelling.

Don’s forthcoming sci-fi novel trilogy, The Existence Equation, will be published by Gugnir Books in 2026.
